Hi, I’m Aliza, therapist and founder of Therapy In The City.

My team and I built this practice based on one belief: Therapy should be accessible, and it should be life changing. At TITC, we pride ourselves on providing mental health care that is goal oriented, evidence based, culturally relevant, and individually designed. OUR SERVICES & SPECIALIZATIONS

Therapy In The City offers an array of therapy services including standard individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient services.

Individual Therapy

For adults, adolescents, and children, struggling with an array of mental health challenges, including: Anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders, relationship challenges, ADHD, school refusal, social anxiety, panic, trauma, grief, emotion dysregulation, eating disorders, career changes, and more.

Couples & Family Therapy

Our clinicians specialize in supporting couples across all stages of dating, marriage, long term partnership, separation, and divorce, seeking to address relational dynamics, attachment wounds, communication conflicts, infidelity, trust, sex and intimacy, and decision making.

Intensive Outpatient Therapy

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an immersive, individualized, treatment program for adults, adolescents, or children seeking a higher level of care geared towards goal- oriented change.

Group Therapy

Therapy in the City offers both in-person and virtual DBT & OCD groups. Group sessions are 90 minutes long, and occur on a weekly basis. DBT groups sequentially cover the following modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

OUR APPROACH TO MENTAL HEALTH

Providing quality therapy that is goal oriented, evidence based, culturally relevant & individually designed.

All of our clinicians have advanced training in utilizing evidence based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Based Therapies (E/RP), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other foundational treatment methods.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT and Exposure Therapy help reduce anxiety and depression by changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT teaches practical skills to manage emotions, reduce distress, and strengthen relationships.

Trauma-Based Therapies

We take a grounded, integrative approach to trauma, using EMDR, DBT-PE, and TF-CBT.

Intensive Outpatient Services

Our Intensive Outpatient Services offer structured, immersive support beyond weekly therapy.
