Mariana is a compassionate Clinical Fellow at Therapy in the City who specializes in supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationship challenges, and identity development. She is particularly passionate about working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and the emotional complexities of recovery. Mariana brings a deep understanding to her work, recognizing the courage and resilience it takes to heal and reconnect with oneself.
As a former Division I athlete, Mariana also has a special interest in supporting athletes and high-achieving individuals facing performance pressure, burnout, body image struggles, and the transition into life beyond sports. She is passionate about helping clients develop a healthier, more balanced relationship with exercise, achievement, and self-worth.
Currently pursuing her Master’s degree at New York University, Mariana is also a Registered Yoga Teacher who believes that healing involves reconnecting both the mind and body. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside somatic and mindfulness-based practices to help clients regulate emotions, build self-awareness, and cultivate a greater sense of safety within themselves.
Mariana provides a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients are encouraged to show up fully as they are.Â
