Emily is a staff clinician in Therapy In The City’s Manhattan office. Emily is a compassionate therapist who is committed to helping clients feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. She brings warmth, authenticity, and a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to her work with adults, young adults, adolescents, and children experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other mental health concerns.
Emily approaches therapy with empathy and curiosity, fostering a collaborative and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, developing insight, and working toward meaningful, lasting change. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship serves as the foundation for healing and strives to create an environment where clients feel safe to be themselves while building on their inherent resilience.
Emily takes an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based approaches, and mindfulness practices. She recognizes that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach and works collaboratively with each client to develop an approach that is both effective and sustainable.
Emily earned her Master’s Degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work with a focus on clinical treatment, and her Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University, where she studied human and family development and the interaction between individuals and their environments.
Emily considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they navigate life’s challenges, develop confidence, and work toward creating lives that feel more fulfilling and aligned with their values. She is committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care that honors each client’s unique story and fosters lasting growth.
