Breanne Reed

Breanne Reed, BA

Clinical Fellow

Breanne is a compassionate Clinical Fellow at Therapy in the City who works with children, adolescents, young adults, families, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, self-esteem challenges, and relationship and attachment difficulties. She takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are while helping them move toward growth and healing at a pace that feels both supportive and empowering.

Breanne is passionate about creating a warm, safe space where clients feel seen, understood, and accepted. She brings a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens to her work, recognizing how identity, lived experience, family systems, and early relationships shape emotional well-being and interpersonal patterns.

Currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Columbia University’s Teachers College, Breanne earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, where she developed a strong foundation in psychological theory and early clinical work. Her background includes experience in pediatric healthcare and peer mental health support roles, where she provided compassionate, emotionally attuned care while helping individuals navigate acute stressors and connect with meaningful support systems.

Drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Breanne integrates mindfulness, emotion regulation, and self-compassion to help clients better understand their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthier ways of coping and relating to themselves and others.

Breanne believes therapy is a collaborative process grounded in trust, curiosity, and genuine connection, and she feels honored to support clients as they take meaningful steps toward healing, self-discovery, and lasting growth.
